Recommended Vendors and Venues

Over the years, we have developed close working relationships with many third party vendors, and some wonderful venues. In every one of these recommendations, we factor not only the quality of work, or beauty of space, but also the ease with which we can work together. An awesome band that never calls you back, or a venue that doesn’t answer your questions is not fulfilling your needs – and won’t make our list. This is not to say that there are not other very good vendors and venues who are not on our list, but rather these are some of the ones we know and trust. We welcome your feedback.

Florist

While we like to style our catering in a manner that isn’t cookie-cutter, Jen Redding of jennifer redding events follows this same path. Her flowers, and sense of color and style are remarkable.

Photographer

A photographer who can capture the essence of a wedding, or other gathering, while not taking over is a rare find. Michelle Frehsee of Frehsee Photography does just that. We encourage you to visit her website, and let her photographs transport you to a beautiful event.

Entertainment

We’ve worked with many entertainers over the years, and have a couple that stand out. For full bands, it’s tough to beat The Lustre Kings. They bring so much fun, talent, and versatility, while being great to work with. For more intimate gatherings, check out Brett Hughes – amazing guitarist, and amazing voice – alone, or with some wonderful accompanists. Many prefer a DJ, and we love local DJ Joe Bell out of Manchester. He’ll get the whole room moving, without taking center stage.

Venues

Very often, the venue is the starting point for planning a wedding, or event. We’ve catered at many, many venues from Bommoseen, to Bennington, and at tent-events from New Hampshire to The Lake George Region. For nearby venues, we especially love The Inn at Manchester – the event barn is almost brand new, yet has the open, airiness of an old barn with the modern conveniences (read: heat, air conditioning and real bathrooms..) that most venues can’t match. Plus, the Hanes family will help make your weekend flawlessly comfortable, while having the convenience of lodging on-site and literally hundreds of rooms in walking distance. For a more rustic, yet truly incredible spot, check out The Old Gray Barn in North Rupert. Brenda will work closely with you to make sure all the details are met, while the setting, and barn are spectacular. Already picked out a hilltop, or lakeside spot? We’re equipped to work pretty-much anywhere, and I consider Dennis of Rain or Shine rentals out of Saratoga, New York to be my right-hand man when designing tent and equipment needs to make the site exactly as you like.

These are but a few of the vendors with whom we’ve worked over the years. We can also help with transportation, lodging, etc. Just ask, and we’ll get in touch.
